Hi guys,

Its very painful to see that no one from Delhi SWS team responded on this mail.

Well its request to all volunteers that Sanskaari is facing shortage of funds.
Its hard to manage 3000 Rs for salary of teachers and rent of Sonia camp
paathshala. Kindly cooperate with us in managing funds for running Sanskaari
effectively, by submitting ur due membership fees and help by other means of
generating funds.

it is always a pleasure to hear from sanskaari but this time it is more than
that because the update has come after a long time.....and it's very satisfying
to listen a lot of work is being done during this time........i just want to
say all d best for d future.
but here in punjab we are in a sorry state holidays are on everyone is back to
their home or some other place and those who are still in chd r busy......nd
worse thing is that wen i come back to ldh i always have to find new people for
work as those who were involved previously either go to some other place or
tend to get busy...........
anyways our college will get re-open in july's end nd i hope to resume work wen
we all get back to chd.
but for u people all d best keep it up

Hi all,

Greetings from Sanskaari Welfare Society to all   !!!!!!!!!

Due to some problems, there were no updates on google group and Mobiles.

Well here are updates in last few months:

A new paathshala for kids was being started at Sonia Camp Slum, BG-6 Paschim
Vihar on experimental basis. A small jhuggi was taken on Rs 1100 /- rent for
paathshala purpose in February and a teacher named Ms Chandni was hired.
Paathshala is running regularly from february month for those kids of slum who
are not going to school due to poverty. Paathshala timings are 10:30-1:30
Mon-Sat. About 10-15 kids are coming in this paathshala. Books and slates were
being provided to these kids.

A new paathshala for ladies of Sahyog and other ladies were also being started
in month of May 2009 in which 5-6 ladies are studying. Ms Aarti who was being
appointed as Admin coordinator and Tilak Paathshala teacher is taking ladies
class on Mon, Wed and Fri from 2:30-5:30 pm.

Tilak Vihar Paathshala is running very smoothly with help of Ms Aart and some
dedicated volunteers like Anjali, Sharad and Krishan. Paathshala days are
Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
Thurs and Sat 4-6pm and Sun 12-2 pm.

Other Paathshalas are running on and off in week days or weekend.

A new YLM project- at Rajindra Ashram, east delhi has been started just 15-20
days back. Only 1-2 sessions have been conducted over there.

One-sided blank papers have been converted into beautiful copies by Ms Aarti
during June month.

Sahyog Paper bag project seems to have dark future as Delhi Govt itself is not
agreed with paper bags as this may lead to deforestation at a greater level. So
from last 1.5 month no orders are coming. So ladies are also vacant.

And no membership fees is coming from last 8-9 months except 2-3 members. So
its becoming very difficult to run Sanskaari. Sanskaari is running short of
funds. Sanskaari needs your help.
