    Sree Gurubhyo namah !!

     Thanks for an elaborate translation of the poem.  Initially I could not 
understand the meaning of first and last lines.

    With the explanation the first line is clear. (especiallially the mukura 
meanining mkula).

    Now my doubt is:

    1. is  'sa' in third line a misfit. (It is not required and it breaks the 
metre - vruttabhanga)
    2.  How    the word/s  "yeShaaM" for anybody?

   pls forgive me if I am feeling like questioning your authority in Sanskrit.

It is in the descriptions of Shiva, holding a deer in his hand.  Here it is
simply said as the young deer which is held in his hand. "shishu" doesn't
have any specific implication than making fun of him that he is holding the
young deer to play with. Here is the description relevant to this: "???????
??????? ????-???-???-????-????? ????????? ... ..." etc. On the other hand,
as applied to Varaha incarnation, the word means a young animal (cub) , by
implication it the boar. The boar incarnation was born only with a thumb
size, from the nose of Brahma as he sighed on the loss of Veda-s. This might
have implied by the word shishu.

I am not going into the related legends related with both. Even there is a
shloka how this deer came into his hand. I will post it in the next.

 Hope this will satisfy your query for the time being.

    Your suggestion of "jhatuti prativaktavyam"  awakened me.

    The version I have heard goes loike this :

      vaidyaH krUro  yamaH krUraH
      krUrat krUrataro bhishak  
      yamastu harati prANAn
      vaidystu  savaUnasUn.

      meaning the vaidaya takes asUn (prANAn which are savsu = with vasu = with 
money).

Thus, Krishna, discomfited by the cowherd girl (Gopi) by tit for tat replies, 
may protect you.
Here is a beautiful play on words using pun on the words (highlighted in the 
text) with double meaning by which the Gopi teases Krishna
