Vacancy: IT Systems Support Officer
Applications are invited for the above position in the IT Unit of the
Consular and Administration Branch of the Australian Embassy, Jakarta.
The position is a full time position with an immediate commencement date
required. 

The duties of the position are listed in the attached duty statement.
The selection criteria are also attached. All applicants should ensure

Duty Number: 
Assist with support of the SATIN Low (Secure Australian Telecomunication
and Information Network) system maintenance, including monitoring LAN
connection and servers, and user support. 
Provide ongoing training to users on the SATIN Network and associated
applications. 
Arrange maintenance and disposal of IT equipment and office machines. 
Arrange development of customised software applications with local
suppliers. 
Maintain Jakarta Embassy intranet website. 
Maintain automated telephone account billing system linked to PABX,
including despatching accounts each month. 
Maintain a library of software and hardware documentation (operation
manual for the LAN, user guide and system manual among others). 

All duties are carried out with due regard to the requirements and
expectations of the SERvice Level Agreement and local IT support
Contracts

Qualifications: Microsoft Windows 2000 Certificate desirable / Microsoft
Windows 2000 training courses essential, Lotus Notes Administrator,
Internet / Intranet knowledge, Microsoft Office 

Selection Criteria
Good communication skills, including a high standard of written and
spoken English. 
Demonstrated ability to administer a Microsoft or similar network.
Microsoft certification highly desirable. 
Familiarity with the Lotus Notes or similar e-mail application. 
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of applications, including
Microsoft Access. 
Ability to administer and maintain intranet website application. 
Experience in maintaining software development and hardware. 
Ability to work independently, set priorities, and to meet deadlines. 
Graduation with relevant qualifications from an Australian tertiary
institute would be an advantage but is not mandatory. 
An IELTS score of 6.5 with no band less than 6 would be advantageous but
is not mandatory.
