Keprihatinan dan email yang sama pernah beredar di milis
Komsos Keuskupan Bogor sekitar tanggal 5 Desember 2007.
Waktu itu saya merespon sebagai berikut:
Paham ateisme itu perlu juga lho dipikir-pikir oleh kita,
atau diyakini sekalian. Namun, di situlah masalahnya:
meyakini suatu agama atau keyakinan (isme) tidak bisa
dipaksa, namun harus dengan kerelaan dari dalam hati.
FYI, sebelum jadi 'pejuang' Kristen yang militan,
CS Lewis itu seorang 'pejuang' ateis yang sama militannya.
Disebut sering kali dalam tulisan2 Lewis, seorang ateis
masih lebih dekat pada Allah daripada seorang agnostic
(orang yang tidak peduli / tidak tahu akan Allah). Masih
kata Lewis, minimal seorang ateis selalu memikirkan Allah.
Jadi, mari kita tonton ramai2 film "Golden Compass".
Jangan takut.
