Cognos Administrator/ Production Support Manager Windsor, CT 6 Months Job Requirements: At least 5 years experience in performing administrative activities in DW/BI Platform using Cognos 8 platform and databases like DB2/Teradata/Oracle on Unix/Linux and Windows platforms. Knowledge & Hands-on experience in Installation & Configuration of Cognos tool sets. Knowledge in performing optimal performance and fail-over strategies in Cognos. Perform Cognos Administration for multiple BI environments including Security, software installations, configuration updates and troubleshooting the environment. Work with Business Partners on troubleshooting and debugging issues as they come in. Under the direction of the Cognos Production Support Manager, this person will assist in the development of best practices, procedures and policies. In addition this person will provide Level 2 and Level 3 production support for all applications that are deployed in the Cognos Center of Excellence environment. Some minor Cognos development may also be required. Required Skills * Cognos 8 experience with all studios * Solid understanding of the Cognos Infrastructure * Strong analytical/problem solving skills * SQL coding skills * Excellent communication skills * Experienced with Teradata or other RDBMS. * UNIX shell scripting * Understanding of Websphere * Understanding of SiteMinder * Experience in Cognos 8 Framework Manager modeling, understand the security and governor setting in Framework Manager package. * Understand and administer Cognos Portal user security and capability * Perform content migration between various Cognos 8 environments.
