Description: Leads the development and implementation of highly complex internet and intranet applications on one or more diverse platforms. Uses advanced knowledge of web technologies, including C++, Java, Java Script, HTML, CGI, XML, Perl, ASP, multimedia applications, database modeling tools and/or database interactions. Evaluates systems specifications for client area web site requirements and determines and implements the most efficient and cost-effective software/package solution. Researches and tracks new web technologies, develops service applications, and analyzes business requirements as they pertain to web-based systems. Responsible for system quality assurance and consistency with installation and security policy and standards. May provide direction and guidance to less experienced staff. • Looking for seasoned J2EE, Java, spring, struts developer. • Project management skills. Platform and Skill Set Expertise: Web Development: Java, XML Design Skills & Tools: UML, Object Oriented Design, Visio Source Code Control: ClearCase Analysis Skills: UML *POSITION 2: * Location: Rochester, NY Duration: 6+ months * 3-5 years of Java programming / J2EE experience. (We are currently using version 1.5.) * Must have very strong database and SQL skills - they will be working with complex databases (normalized models, 100's of tables). Must be able to read complex data models or ERD diagrams. Must have object relational modeling experience. * Must have experience with a source code control tool and know how to merge conflicting changes. * At least one year of US work experience. Preferred: * Experience writing EJB's (stateless Session Beans) from 'scratch' (not simply using tools). Excellent understanding of session beans, container managed beans, etc. * Experience with ANT and ability to troubleshoot issues. * Experience with Hibernate, JBOSS, JUnit, Oracle and Weblogic * Java certification OR brain-bench type testing is required.
