The ED5 environment consists of new PC hardware configured the Vista operating system, MS Office 2007 Pro Plus, and Notes 8 as core components. In order to ensure the success of the ED5 deployment, IFC is looking for a candidate who will fill a Senior Vista Engineer position. The Senior Vista Engineer will be responsible for developing the utilities to be used during the testing and implementation of the ED5 environment as well as troubleshoot any installation or configuration issues that arise during the deployment phase of the project. The engineer will be expected to provide technical solutions for issues encountered with application configuration and installation, migration of user data, login/logout process, imaging and postinstall process, as well as code, test and implement utilities that work around the Vista UAC. The candidate is expected provide technical expertise to the IFC IT Support staff as well as respond to and resolve issues reported by the user community as they receive and use the ED5 environment. *Role:*** The following tasks are expected to be performed: 1. Script, test, implement and document utilities that will customize the standard ED5 (Vista) image for IFC's environment 2. Script, test and implement installation of IFC required enterprise tools/agents 3. Install, troubleshoot, configure and document changes required to make IFC applications and client devices to work in the ED5 (Vista) environment 4. Provide technical solutions to imaging and postinstall issues 5. Respond, troubleshoot and provide sound technical solutions to issues encountered in the Vista / ED5 environment 6. Document configuration changes, FAQs, and solutions to resolved issues The candidate will also provide technical expertise to application owners, Helpdesk and ED5 Project team on issues related to implementing the ED5 PC.
