DB2 DBA Consultant Location _Colorado Springs Duration 4-6 months * Minimum 7 years experience as a DB2 DBA in the z/OS environment. * Experience should include database planning and design (logical and physical), performance tuning, maintenance and recovery. * Ability to support application development teams in database design and alterations as well as general database and system related issues and questions as well as work with system administrator in dealing with database related system issues. * Must support problem resolutions in a 24x7 environment and have excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel. * Should have solid analytical capabilities and be familiar with IBM-DB2 Utilities, PLATINUM Suite of tools, BMC Suite of Admin tools, SQL, and VSAM usage. Other Requirements/Notes: ------------------------- Experience with COBOL accessing DB2, REXX and REXX accessing DB2, and JAVA accessing DB2 both SQLJ and JDBC.
