Hello partner,

*We are seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer in Philadelphia for 6 months.
The pay is $35/hr as per skill level.*

Here is the reason for the need ...

In late November the FTE dedicated to PBX support at the Plaza building in
Philadelphia resigned. She supported the large Nortel PBX and was the
primary customer contact, handling all MAC changes. She was also the point
person handling the conversion of this Nortel PBX to VoIP under phase 1 of
the PBX conversion project. The size of this conversion involves 1700 phones
and is a complex undertaking. She was also performing VoIP Call Manager
programming and support, NICE support, PBX software MACs, and voice network
troubleshooting. In Sept. she became almost totally concentrated on the high
profile and complex conversion of the Plaza PBX to VoIP. Due to the
complexity of the conversion many of her other duties were moved to other
PBX centric employees in the region. Any buffer in the PBX support teams was
used up at that point. Then with her resignation in late Nov. we have had to
pull an employee out of the field to pick up the Plaza conversion and this
is causing a ripple effect in the regions, requiring staff supporting the
Philadelphia Data Centers, data and server support, to begin taking calls
outside of Philadelphia. Allocating work load to other team members is
stretching thin coverage in Philadelphia, Delaware and South Jersey. In
order to meet our milestone project dates and to meet our business
requirements for implementations and day to day support, we require a
contractor to provide both frontline, and backfill support, as we adjust our
day to day resources. By not filling this requisition with a contractor we
risk failing to provide our project and support deliverables to the business
units. Alternatives would be to double up on workload, increase overtime,
and increase the use of vendors, with their extended SLA's. Considering the
situation, and the danger of overextending our staff, we believe a
contractor resource is necessary.
