Candidate will be responsible for the configuration, build, and deployment of new Wintel server hardware, per Zurich standard build profiles and processes, in an ongoing effort to refresh our aging server infrastructure. In addition, responsibilities will include coordination and collaboration with business unit personnel and peers to ensure seamless platform migration while maintaining service level agreements and overall customer satisfaction. This person will also test and troubleshoot any issues found on the replacement servers. Project team size will vary by site and project assigned. Candidate will work closely with the Wintel staff to configure and deploy new Wintel hardware to refresh current outdated equipment. This will include the use and understanding of all possible flavors of the Microsoft operation systems. (NT4.0, 2000, 2K3, and 2008) In addition, a strong understanding of Network topologies and Storage area Networks is strongly desired. Candidate will assist with the migration of aging physical servers to new Virtual server utilizing VMWare ESX server. Performs other duties as assigned. Skills: Must possess strong Verbal and written communication skills. Results orientated individual with the ability to work well with little or no direct supervision. Ability to collaborate and flourish in a team environment. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. *Key skills required: (in the order of priority*) 1. Microsoft operating system knowledge: NT 4.0, 2000, 2003, 2008. 2. IBM Server Hardware X86 3. VMWare ESX 3.x 4. Virtual Center Client 5. Ghost imaging software 6.
