The Performance Test Engineer must have experience writing LoadRunner scripts for SAP transactions and executing them on SAP. The Client is currently on SAP ECC version 5.0, is upgrading to SAP ECC version 6.0 and performing a Unicode conversion. In addition, it is upgrading the portal to version 7.0, the Oracle database from 9i to 10g, and it is applying Stack 16 to its BI system. Also, our Client has installed two new IBM Power6 frames and will be migrating its SAP Production System to this new hardware. The Performance Test Engineer will need to develop a performance test plan, write scripts in LoadRunner for a variety of SAP transactions, and then execute them using LoadRunner on SAP. They will then analyze the results and work with the SAP Basis team to tune the SAP systems on the new hardware. The Performance Test Engineer must have served as a senior Performance Test Engineer on multiple SAP implementations (preferably including SAP Upgrade Projects). The consulting assignment will start immediately and be completed by early June 2009. The Go-Live date for the Upgrade of SAP Production is Memorial Day weekend (May 23, 24, 25). The consultant will need to work onsite in San Diego with the project team. The consultant must have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment. They must also be able to work in the evenings and on weekends and holidays, if necessary, to execute performance tests. Consultant Tasks: The consultant, who will report to the Project Manager, will be required to: - assist the Basis team in installing the LoadRunner software - develop and document a performance test plan to meet the project's objectives - write test scripts using LoadRunner of the key SAP transactions used at the client - execute the test scripts and analyze the results - work with the Basis team to tune the SAP systems - provide guidance on performance tuning for the Upgrade - work with the Program Manager to identify and mitigate risks, and resolve issues so the project is completed on schedule Background: Our Client implemented SAP in January 2007 on ECC version 5.0. This implementation included the following modules: MM, SD, FI, CO, PS, HR, Payroll, CATS, and BI.
