The PLM Support Engineer is responsible for support of the CAD and PDM systems along with processes consulting, while ensuring the quality of support. These responsibilities include maintaining customer relationships, mentoring and training of end users. The individual must possess knowledge and expertise in CATIA V4/V5, Windchill systems. In addition, this position provides other end user support and administration as required. *ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* * Actively work with the customer engineers to provide startup support for CATIA V4/V5, and Windchill PDM systems, performing various tasks, analyze technical situations and determine solutions as required * Work with the customer, contractor, stockholder and other suppliers to development, and implement standard processes, procedures, best practices and optimize systems use in the areas of design & manufacturing *Providing end user administration such as creation and administration of user IDs and passwords * Onsite mentoring, training and coaching of end users * Provide incident resolution and technical assistance as required *QUALIFICATIONS:* * Extensive proven experience (2 to 5 years) support and training of PLM environments and applications (CATIA V4/V5, Windchill, etc) * Knowledge of aerospace industry OEM best practices in application lifecycle management, including operational support * Demonstrated knowledge of industry standard techniques for applications and ability to define business requirements in support of the ongoing development and services * Ability to interact with all levels of management both inside and outside of the engineering environment * Ability to work independent and as part of a global team * Ability to make independent decisions * Fluent written and verbal communication skills • Must be willing to travel at least 10% of the time *EDUCATION:* • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or IT is preferred.
