We are looking for a candidate that can upgrade our Pro/INTRALINK global environment over the next 2 months (this requires prior upgrade experience)(3 global servers with approx 2.5 TB's of data and approx 2,500 users). We are also looking for someone that has Pro/INTRALINK to PDMLink migration experience. This is a 3-4 months + project. the pay is The CAD/CAM support team within the Global Engineering Systems organization has an immediate opportunity for an individual capable of serving in a key Engineering Data Management (EDM) technical role as an IT Engineering Analyst with the following responsibilities: - Collaborate with Pro/INTRALINK/PDMLink and Pro/Engineer team on large scale global EDM migration planning and implementation. - Package software applications for global distribution and perform regression testing. - Perform system analysis, tuning & optimization for local client systems as well as for our server based components. - Analyze and resolve data corruption and localized performance issues. - Define and document best practices and oversee user adoption. - Support end users and peers in areas of application use, problem solving and training to achieve measurable skill improvement. - Assist in gathering user requirements for new functionality of our EDM solutions. Communicate this information back to the software vendor to improve their products. - Act as an internal "consultant" concerning the use of PDMLink. Promote the use of PDMLink and educate users/management on its benefits and limitations. - Assist in testing new releases of our major EDM solutions. - Participate in defining the architecture of our enterprise wide Product Data Management system with EDM being a core module of that. - Minimum of 5 years experience as a Pro/INTRALINK/PDMLink analyst/administrator. - Minimum of 5 years engineering and/or design experience using Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire. - Strong engineering process knowledge, preferably in the electronic components industry. - Proven large scale EDM migration success. - Excellent organization and communication skills with demonstrated business savvy to interact with management, users, contract resources, vendors, and other IT teams. - Demonstrated leadership skills in managing all phases of a project from requirements gathering, quality management and on-time delivery. - Ability to travel and to flex daily work schedule as needed to allow for time-zone differences for global teamwork, planning, communication, and training. - Experience with Enovia MatrixOne PLM software a plus. - Experience with common engineering application license management technologies and techniques. - Solaris/Windows operating systems knowledge. - Experience with project planning and estimation. - Experience with a centralized application support model in a global engineering environment. - Experience with basic Oracle functions (SQLPlus) - Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science or a related degree or equivalent experience.
