Business Analyst with Retail Duration- 6 months Location- Milwaukee, WI Retail Math BA One position open; (need resumes by late Wed) Need Retail background (i.e. Target, Walmart, Sears, etc,.), Finance background, and Merchandise ledger!!! required!! They really stressed finance and retail with the ability to translate requirements to IT. Best candidates will have; Retail knowledge, more than one retail company project, significant finance background, worked with inventory ledger, had significant IS background. Had system and analysis background. Very experienced with Retail Math. Retail Math: Retail environment and also has worked on applications that worked on finance apps such as inventory ledger. So term might not be retail math but that is what they mean by retail math Original Requirement: Project Background The purpose of Brand Vendor project is to make the following enhancements to Merchandise Ledger: 1. To analyze the exceptions to the rules and provide a tool to handle these exceptions. 2. To provide a tool (e.g. a user interface) to make adjustments to the exceptions 3. To enhance the allocation logic and to address the shortcomings from phase II. Skills: Business Consultant/Senior Business analyst to drive requirements gathering sessions, analyze the business needs of clients and help identify business problems and propose solutions. Experienced with retail math, financial background desired and a good understanding of Ledger. Experience with measuring profitability at various levels of merchandising. Good with excel spreadsheet. Excellent written and communication skills and ability to communicate across different business areas. Additional Information from the Call: A business consultant who has experience driving business requirement sessions. This app involved retail math - someone that has retail background with the ledger is needed. It involves getting data from the merchandise ledger - finance and retail background is key. If someone has an IS background that would be a plus as they will have to translate the requirement back to the IS Team. Standard Deliverables: Use Case scenarios, test cases, business requirements, good business objectives, identify deliverables, functional specifications.
