Need Local to Dallas, TX In-Person is Required Oracle PL/SQL Developer Job Location: Dallas, TX. Duration: 3+ Months Contract Job Description: Candidate will be part of a Data Warehouse team. Candidate must posses a strong understanding of the Oracle RDBMS (version 9/10) and be proficient using PL/SQL. Candidate will develop SQL procedures used to move data into organizations enterprise data warehouse. Experience with data migrations and data warehousing is important. Candidate should also be able to tune queries, building physical table structures, and have some data modeling experience in an Oracle 9/10 environment. Knowledge of Shell scripts and reporting tools are a plus. Client is in DFW area and does not use any ETL tool.....they do the ETL by developing it in PL/SQL. Must have very strong understanding of Oracle and able to write complex PL/SQL Scripts. Should understand Data Warehousing. Must have good design ability so that can write scripts to do things such Responsibilities Include: * Designing and developing OLAP and reporting solutions that will be the foundation of companies' enterprise BI solution. * Involvement in all aspects of Data Warehousing and BI implementation, including project management, requirements definition, design, development, and implementation. * Be a self-starter and possess strong communication skills. * Possess 3 - 5 years experience in with PL/SQL development * Have a strong working knowledge of Oracle * Experience in ETL development * Have a solid understanding of best practices in developing enterprise BI solutions. Must have VERY, VERY strong PL/SQL. Typically folks that have used tools such as Informatica are not strong enough in the PL/SQL as they have used the tool to do most of the work vs. using PL/SQL to do the more intense work.....they have typically used PL/SQL on an exception basis.
