Please go through the highlighted points and If you have suitable consultants please forward their resumes along with their contact details Position: Junior Project Manager for Advanced Voice PMO in VDSL-------------keep rates in $40 Duration: 1 year Location: Ashburn, VA or Colorado Springs, CO The Project Manager would be responsible for managing multiple complex software development projects throughout all phases of the development lifecycle. This entails leading strategic reviews to define impacts and assessments from all affected organizations, as well as ensuring the project gets approved and packaged. PM leads the analysis, design and coding effort, and will continue to support the projects throughout testing and implementation. The project manager will establish and manage project schedules and provide regular status reporting, including financial statistics. The PM will coordinate the identification and resolution of all related project issues. The PM will lead project meetings with staff of varying functions and levels, and provide PM and process guidance to other staff. The PM must also be able to develop and maintain strong relationships with business sponsor and technical development staff. The PM will work with minimal guidance, using independent judgment as well as existing policies/practices to develop methods, techniques and evaluation criteria necessary to obtain results. The candidate should have a minimum of bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and 8+ years related project management experience (full life cycle development for product and systems development, testing, and planning). PM must have strong, technical skills, and able to speak to system functionality/impacts. Demands excellent interpersonal communication and facilitation skills, along with keen ability to effectively prioritize and multi task in a fast paced environment. Must be proficient in key software tools, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Power Point, and Word. *PMP Certification and/or prior Verizon experience are a plus*. Can be at one of two Verizon locations: Ashburn VA, or, Colorado Springs CO.
