*Location:* *Chicago, IL* *Job Description* . Responsible for leading testing team of 7 people. · Responsible for contributing to improvement of software development processes as well as ensuring that the software quality team follows the predefined process · Capable of estimating schedules, determining project scope and driving projects to completion · Ensure test plans that meet design specifications, report on testing cycle and help produce software that is reasonably free from defects · Review product requirement documentation, participate in design sessions and provide stakeholders with a risk analysis for each product iteration. · Communicates with Developers, Product Managers, Usability Engineers and Technical Support specialists on product issues to ensure that the product is fully tested · Works with Technical Support group to help perform root cause analysis of issues found in the wild · Provides technical assistance and technical training to other departments as required · Abreast of industry-wide changes in technology, programming techniques and new tools being used in the QA field · Provide Leadership and supervision for the QA Team · Train and Equip QA Team members with automation scripts or documentation (as needed). · Review and approve test plans and test cases, Release Notes and User Manuals. · Monitor QA activity and schedule, escalate of QA issues to Project Manager (such as missed milestones), and approve release based on quality measurements.
