We are looking for : *IBM DB2 advanced DBA certified consultant* *Location : Matawan, NJ (Local Only)* *Duration : Long Term* ** *Skills :* ** Minimum of 8-10 years proven experience with very large, near real time databases. Should have worked for *telecommunication* industry. Should be experienced with *DB2 v9.1 on a Linux platform* running distributed processing on a multiple partition DB. *IBM DB2 advanced DBA certified.* Must be able to demonstrate the ability to design and optimize projects for optimal performance. Performance optimization skills should include: MQTs, MDC, data compression, and proper use of indexes. Must be able to evaluate existing data model and database design to recommend improvements for anticipated growth Other duties will also include backup, recovery, maintenance, space reclamation, monitoring, etc Strong analytical skills required to diagnose and resolve complex interaction issues. Database tuning for access by OLAP tools a plus.
