Looking for Systems Engineer/Solaris Administration at Dallas /Fort Worth, TX for 6 Months+ Contract
Required Skills: At least 7+ years of hands on experience: . Must have working knowledge of Solaris version 10. . Experience with Solaris container/zone a must have. . Understanding of networking is required. . Need to have knowledge of installing, configuring and maintaining of Sun/Solaris HW. . Knowledge of Jump/Kick start server along with network installation a must. . Knowledge of a clustering software (Veritas or Sun) is required. . Experience with external storage (SAN/NAS) is required from server configuration and administration prospective. . Knowledge of HBA for external storage is required. . Shell scripting knowledge as Solaris administrator is required. . Working knowledge of backup and restore of UNIX servers. . Knowledge of capacity monitoring and management of UNIX servers. . Knowledge of proxy service, naming services (LDAP, DNS etc.) is needed. . Solaris Packages and RPM maintenance and participate in patch management. . Understands boot process and run levels, paging and swapping, inter-process communication, functions of devices and device drivers and file system concepts. Any high availability concept/knowledge will be a big plus (i.e. Local Datacenter HA or DR across multiple DC.) Working knowledge of Volume manger (Veritas, Solaris etc.) is required, ZFS knowledge is a plus. Any working knowledge of IPMP and power path is a plus. Any experience with Linux (Red Hat) is a big plus. Any knowledge or experience with Solaris x64 implementation is a big plus.
