* * *Client: Wells Fargo, CA* Title: Data Modeler Location: SFO, CA Duration:6 Months *Required Skills* • Extensive experience as a Data Modeler. • Ability to be able to look at potentially complex set of information requirements documented (sometimes incompletely) in a variety of ways (e.g., physical data base schemata, data format specifications, system documentation, etc.) and be able to pull out the key generalizations/abstractions and organizing structures that form the basis of a good logical data model • Experienced PL/SQL developer • Direct experience in developing data models (database design) • Extensive experience working with Oracle databases. • Experience with any or all of the following: Visual modeling languages (e.g., Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD), Unified Modeling Language (UML) and the tools that support them (e.g., ERWin, Rational Rose, Visio, Oracle Designer); Physical schema languages (e.g., Structured Query Language (SQL), Data Definition Language (DDL) *Desired Skills* • The candidate should have a flexible attitude, ability to work closely with multiple internal cross-functional teams • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and very good analytical skills • The candidate should be a team player, excellent written and verbal communication skills, willing to accept challenges *Project Description* *Role Description* • Design, development and implementation of complex internet and intranet applications using Java/J2EE and oracle technologies in compliance with standards and guidelines. • Oracle 10G server and database management • Work with Subject Matter Experts to understand the data elements in their domain and the relationships among those elements. • Analyze and understand existing data models, database schemas, etc. • Gather and document data element requirements. • Develop logical data models to accurately and completely represent data elements • Work with Subject Matter Experts, software architects and developers to reach consensus on the developed logical data model. • Produce artifacts that will be used in building new database schemas and expanding existing ones. • Work with Development team to create a physical data model based on the logical data model • Work with developers who are implementing logical data models and/or standard formats providing training, consulting, and necessary support • Experience with all aspects of the System Development Life Cycle -- Thanks & Regards..
