Travelers, the second-largest commercial insurer in the U.S. and the third
largest writer of U.S. personal insurance through independent agents, is
excited to announce the building of a new data center in Omaha, NE.

The Data Center Redundancy Infrastructure team is responsible for driving
infrastructure design of the new data center and the Senior Voice & Contact
Center Engineer will be a critical member of that team. The incumbent will
utilize their working knowledge of voice and contact center solutions to
facilitate and drive discussion among appropriate parties. They will gather
requirements, design solutions, assist with implementation, and prepare
presentations for team and senior management.

*PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES *
- Ensure that the current infrastructure maintains its high performance and
availability characteristics while building out a corresponding Disaster
Recovery (DR)/High Availability (HA) environment
- Work with Business IT areas, Enterprise Architecture, and vendor partners
to implement designs dependent on infrastructure services and/or technology
- Continually assess critical aspects of infrastructure such as HA and DR
robustness, optimal use of existing monitoring & reporting tools, along
with adherence to Travelers’ and vendors’ best practices
- Understand and adhere to Application & Data Security requirements
- Manage Vendors and Technical Service Providers
- Assist in the development and documentation of test plans
- Continue to improve overall System Performance and Capacity Planning
- Support Audit and DR compliance activities


*QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING: *
- BS/BA degree preferred
- 4-6 years of related experience
- Technology Background:
o SME knowledge of the Genesys Voice Platform 7.6 or greater
o Experience managing technology in a Genesys Call Center environment to
include design, operations, maintenance and engineering new solutions and
technologies.
o Genesys Infrastructure – URS, T-server, Stat Server
o Genesys CIM management layer – CME; SCI, error handling and alerting
o Genesys CIM routing – IRD, Multi media routing (open media; email; chat)
o Genesys CIM reporting – CCPulse; Icon; InfoMart
o Genesys GVP Infrastructure – VCS; WAS servers
o Genesys GVP – provisioning; reporting
o Knowledge of workforce management systems (Aspect) and the integration
with Genesys.
o Knowledge of Contact recording systems (Verint) and their integration
with Genesys.
o Experience with Avaya and/or Cisco telephony, along with data network
experience
o Subject Matter Expert (SME) level knowledge of Avaya IP Telephony
o Ability to work independently
- Strong organizational skills. Ability to handle multiple requests from
across the organization
- Solid communication and presentation skills. This individual will be
interacting with several levels of the organization. Communicates in a
manner consistent with the audience
- Sound analytical and diagnostic skills. Business impact/risk & cost
benefit strategies. Project Management experience
- Team collaboration and leadership. Builds relationships with technical
and business partners to achieve objectives, to work as a team

o Avaya Communication Manager and ACD
o Avaya Aura System and Session Manager
o Avaya Aura Application Enablement Services
o Avaya Remote Gateways
o Avaya ESS/LSP
o CMS
o SIP Trunking with ACME SBC
o Hardphones and softphones
o Technical level knowledge of Cisco IP telephony
o Advanced experience with Telecom Carrier services, ordering,
installation, troubleshooting, etc.
o Understanding of data network fundamentals such as switching and routing
o Skilled at integrating other ancillary voice products, such as recording
platforms and E911 platforms
o Skilled at integrating other and troubleshooting Voice Gateway and
Session Border Controllers
o Center experience
o Travelers’ work experience
