Title: Senior ETL Informatica Developer posted on 2014-09-16 14:14:59 Job Description:Title: Senior ETL Informatica Developer Duration: 6 Months Location: NYC, NY *Key Responsibilities: *• Responsible for enhancing ETL streams including design, within the Compliance application. • Code and unit test modules/programs, following any program specifications and programming standards that exist. • Responsible for bug fixes and the support of end users during System / User Acceptance and rollout of the solution. • Responsible for integrating ETL streams to validate data loads. • Participate in joint Application Design meetings with users and CareFirst staff. • Develop production processing documentation in standard format. • Contribute comments and feedback during walkthroughs of specifications, coding and test plans, as well as other construction and implementation deliverables. • Help tune the ETL job streams to reduce daily load time. *Technology Used : *• Informatica 8.6.1 (Power Center), Oracle 10g, Unix – Solaris, Scheduling, (Control M). *Desired Skills:* • Proficient in Informatica. • Must have practical knowledge of working with Informatica. • Able to create Simple Mappings / Sessions / Workflows. • Some knowledge of Transformations like Routers, Filters, Lookups, Update strategies, Normalizers, Expressions and other transformations. • Understanding of Metadata joins and conditions. • Able to create Mapplets to group some common Functionality. • Able to create Mappings with one or multiple sources and proficient with joiner Transformations. • Performance Tuning Jobs are a plus. • Oracle 10g • Understanding and familiarity with database concepts of the Oracle Database. • SQL knowledge to query the data from the Tables on the Database. • Performance tuning of existing SQL code to query the data from the Tables on the Database. • Understanding of Data Warehousing concepts. • Familiarity with Star Schemas, ODS ,surrogate Keys and the other components which go into building a Data WareHouse. • Good communications skills and interaction with team members.
