1.      Production support in a Java/J2EE environment with some new code
writing.
2. Experience with SOAP Web Services and Spring framework
3. Experience in a PL/SQL database environment.
4. Experience working with Ant build tool.



*Job Description: *The team is looking for a Java Production
Support/Maintenance specialist. This position could have some opportunity
for writing new code, but primarily will be working in close conjunction
with the QA team to address production issues, fix defects, and support
on-going upgrades and releases. They will also be working closely with the
team doing new development for the applications to support any needs they
might have from a production standpoint.



*Additional Information:* The applications this team works on are the
self-service machines at various airports including check-in kiosks,
curbside baggage drop, and other automated machines.

Given that this individual will be working very closely with the QA team
and the other development team, personality will be very important.

*Work Environment: *There are two Java individuals on the production
support team already, one of which is the team lead. They sit in the same
room as QA to be there to address production and maintenance issues. There
are seven individuals on the QA team. Personality is key.

*Interview Information:* Candidates will phone screen with our former
consultant that used to be on this team. The best candidate will be brought
in for a face-to-face interview.

*Who is the Internal/External Customer:* External customers are AA
customers who use the self-service kiosks at the airport to check in for
flights and check luggage.

*Impact to the Internal/External Customer:* The applications will have
better functionality thanks to fixing the bugs in a timely manner which
makes the process for the customer much smoother.

*Business Challenge: *Better functionality of the self-service machines
will cause customer satisfaction to go up. With more people using the
self-service machines, fewer live agents are needed and costs go down.

*EVP: *American Airlines and Us Airways are in the midst of the largest
merger in airline history. This is a chance to work for the largest airline
ever created.
