Job title: Unix Admin Location: Irving - TX Duration: 12 months Job Description: * Provide primary UNIX system administration support for development and test servers; these servers support back-end web and database functions. * Provide primary UNIX scripting support (e.g., PERL, shell). * Awareness of the following: NFS & CIFS File serving protocols LINUX & UNIX experience with NIS Storage and Data Backups. * Linux and Solaris system administration * Clear case administration * Scripting languages: one or more of PERL, C-Shell, KORN-Shell. * Bachelor*s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology * 7+ years experience in Unix/ Solaris/ Shell Scripting. * 7 Years of software packaging and deployment in Unix like environment/ system V packaging. * 6 Years of experience in deploying/ supporting OO Program based teams, Java, EJB, J2EE, JSP, XML, UML, JMS * Expertise in BEA Web Logic Platform with emphasis on Web Logic Portal (WLP). * Excellent troubleshooting skills and knowledge of WLDF (Web Logic Diagnostic Framework) and other performance and capacity tolls such as ClearApp Quick Vision.
