Please make sure the consultant is having Project is 3-6 months Roanoke, VA *Systems Admin Job Responsibilities* The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with the following: · *Dell* Servers and IBM Servers setup and configuration · Cisco Switches, Routers and firewalls · *MS Server 2008, MS Exchange 2007 & MS Windows 2003* · Symantec Backup Exec · Network configuration & troubleshooting skills · Strong Knowledge of Unix · Ability to lift up to 40 pounds of weight *Network *Admin* responsibilities will include: · Manage hardware, software and security on all servers, firewalls and PC*s on the network as directed by the project manager. · Provide desk-side, telephone, and remote user support. · Manage and implement control of new projects that would require network applications and/or hardware to be configured. This may also include working with software and hardware vendors and the ultimate training of end users. Other Responsibilities: · Continue to monitor ALL backup system, fail-over and recovery procedures, making sure ALL data is backed up nightly and stored · Develop a Disaster Recovery Plan · Lead onsite troubleshooting, development and implementation of software and hardware related application Experience and Qualification · MCP and/or MCSA certification in Windows 2000/2003 · Database management (Oracle or SQL) experience is required · Experience with installing and troubleshooting *Dell* servers and related hardware · Experience with installing and troubleshooting appliance equipment · At least three years of Network *Admin* and Active Directory experience · At least 5 years experience as System Admin in a mixed UNIX/Windows/Mac operating environment, · Knowledge of Cisco switches and Routers · Knowledge of *Veritas *or general back up utilities a plus · Experience in scripting or programming in any language will be preferred -- Please send the updated resume of the consultant along with the rate, location and contact information.
