*Title: Manual QA Tester* *Location: Brea, CA* *Interview Process: 1 phone, 1 in person* *Rate: $38/hr C2C* *Top 3:* *4+ years’ experience as a Manual QA Tester* *3+ years’ experience writing PL/SQL scripts* *3+ years’ experience with Mercury Quality Center* Job Description: The successful candidate must be comfortable working in an environment that demands flexibility, independence and accountability and provides a high degree of social interaction. The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for analyzing project requirements, functional specifications and technical documents in order to write and execute Test Cases, Test Scripts and Test Plans. This position will initially require a high degree of technical aptitude in building, executing and documenting manual tests from requirements documentation with the opportunity to leverage test automation where appropriate. This position has the opportunity to impact the overall direction of the QA group and requires an experienced tester who can hit the ground running and operate independently to fully test applications in a timely fashion. *Duties and Responsibilities: * o Effectively analyze product and technical documentation. o Stay current with requirement changes during development phases. o Produce, execute and maintain Test Cases, Test Scripts and Test Plans. o Trace root-cause analysis from various documents and resources and generate analysis report. o Document identified defects in the defect tracking system. o Follow through with Incident resolution and re-testing processes. *Qualifications:* o Bachelor degree in Computer Science, CIS and 1-3 years’ experience in software quality assurance, or 2-4 years’ experience as a Software Quality Assurance Analyst with relevant education. o Proficient working knowledge of client-server and web environments. o Strong understanding of relational databases (particularly Oracle). o Strong grasp of SDLC processes. o Ability to analyze Test Plans and independently develop and Test Cases, Test Procedures and Test Scripts. o Proficient in formal SQA methodologies. o Understanding of automated testing methodologies and technologies is highly desirable.
