Long term contract, 6 months to start Must be able to attend an onsite interview (I can check with client to see if they will entertain a phone or video IV, but I am thinking they will want to IV onsite), *Notes from client meeting on 2-12-15: * *Hyperion was installed in September 2014, has not yet gone live. The role is IT based, it reports to the Director of ERP. Responsible for tuning, patches, sys admin for all things Hyperion. They are using the latest version of Hyperion. Essbase is not needed to have for this role, the admin piece is the most important. This will be the 5th person on the team. No travel. Long term contract.* The *Hyperion Infrastructure Administrator* provides installation, configuration, architecture planning, support, administration and general consulting to the development teams for the Oracle Hyperion EPM environments. This position supports large OLAP environment and ensures availability of the data, consults with Development and Infrastructure teams with regards to the appropriate design of OLAP solutions as well as perform tuning and ensure adherence to OLAP data standards. *Strategy & Planning* • Plan, and schedule the installation and testing of new products and improvements to current systems. • Assist with Essbase and Hyperion application Administration such as security, tuning, backup and recovery on different servers, platforms and operating systems. • Establish standards for the technology including identification of appropriate uses for all options within the Oracle EPM (Hyperion) technology stack. • Identify and evaluate industry trends in Hyperion technologies to serve as a source of information and advice for upper management. • Develop methods and processes for integrating different products so they work properly together. *Acquisition & Deployment* • Participate in regional and worldwide projects (deployments). • Review project requests describing Hyperion user needs to estimate time and cost required to successfully accomplish a project. • Provide technical specifications for application enhancements. • Participate in application customizations and extensions. • Conduct research and make recommendations on Oracle Hyperion products, tools, services, protocols, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts. *Operational Management* • Monitor the systems development activities as they relate to the Oracle Hyperion applications development effort. • Perform quality assurance & design review functions for all projects where the technology will be utilized. • Work with Developers, System and Network Administrators in a multinational environment to support and improve system performance and stability. • Work with vendor technical support on technical issues. *Incidental Functions* • Monitor Essbase and Hyperion applications environment to identify and recommend alternatives/enhancements. • Support Hyperion system implementations, enhancements, and upgrades. • Assist with technical infrastructure issues. • Assist in performance tuning, and monitoring of all system tiers. • Maintain current knowledge of the technology workspace in terms of current state, future possibilities, forthcoming technologies, and their relevance and impact. • Assist with other projects as may be required to contribute to efficiency and effectiveness of the work. • Minimal travel is required. • Work outside the standard office 7.5 hour workday may be required. *Knowledge & Experience* • 5+ years IT experience. • 3+ years’ experience working with and supporting Hyperion Essbase technologies. • 3+ years of experience with Essbase backup recovery technologies. • Strong knowledge of Essbase and Hyperion technology stack. • Strong Knowledge of Oracle Hyperion Essbase Server 11.x and other Hyperion applications such as Planning, Shared Services, Workspace, Strategic Finance, DRM and Financial reporting. • Knowledge of WebLogic application server. • Experience with Installation/Upgrade/Patching with Essbase, Hyperion web applications. • Knowledge of Essbase, and Planning Administration and Performance Tuning. • Migration experience of application from non-production to production environment. • Experience with reading and writing MaxL scripts is desirable. *Personal Attributes* • Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities. • Good written and oral communication skills. • Good presentation and interpersonal skills. • Ability to conduct research into Hyperion technology issues, standards, and products. • Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language. • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. *Formal Education & Certification* • Bachelor degree or foreign equivalent in related field or equivalent experience. • Certifications in Oracle Database Administration are desirable. • Certifications in ESSBASE Administration are desirable.
