In addition, communicate the risks clearly to project stakeholders in all phases of the solution development life cycle. Responsible for continuously re-evaluating the test strategy to adjust for new information, changing risks, shifting priorities, and schedules. Tasks will include but are not limited to test planning, test automation, manual testing, test environment setup/teardown, defect logging and verification, etc. This position will be responsible for defining and executing the QA strategy for assigned features and functionality within product releases and rollouts. *REQUIRED SKILLS: * Strategic QA automation and tests planning for proposing new directions and technologies Initiating and building an automation framework SQL knowledge to test Oracle / MS SQL Database applications Automation of web based, client server, SAP, Mainframe based application Descriptive programming using VB script Testing multi-tiered Client server applications Installing and establishing defect tracking tools Obtaining buy-in for test automation efforts as well as have the ability to defend its estimated value and architectural frame work Prior automation testing experience Software testing related experience with the Mercury testing tools, including QTP, Loadrunner, and QAInspect Identify, automate, and execute test cases, including fault diagnostics. Develop automated GUI tests using QTP and create automated GUI regression tests for multiple projects. A minimum of six years professional experience. Software quality assurance practices, tools and techniques. Software development lifecycle. Leadership and teamwork skills to negotiate with and influence peers and management on policy and strategic issues. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. *PREFERRED SKILLS: * Prior SAP testing experience *RESPONSIBILITIES: * Experience in strategic QA automation and tests planning for proposing new directions and technologies. Experience initiating and building an automation framework Strong SQL knowledge to test Oracle / MS SQL Database applications Expertise in automation of web based, client server, SAP, Mainframe based application Sound knowledge of descriptive programming using VB script Testing multi-tiered Client server applications Expertise in installing and establishing defect tracking tools. Experienced in obtaining buy-in for test automation efforts as well as have the ability to defend its estimated value and architectural frame work Expertise in automating back end testing Exceptional communication skills, should be able to interact with non technical people Practiced leadership skills. Applies QA best practices from project inception to deployment and beyond. Properly documents tests, executes them, and accurately reports testing status and test results to project stakeholders. Logs all defects discovered and tracks them through closure Ensures that the reliability, performance, and functionality of assigned features and functionality meet or exceed business goals. Works in high collaboration with software development staff to assist in the reproduction and resolution of defects. Prepare for and lead early, interactive User Acceptance Tests with Business and IT stakeholders for assigned projects. Makes recommendations to improve product reliability and performance. Review and provide feedback to improve solution development process. Mentor QA team as needed.
