*Duration: 3 months Contract* *Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm* Only submit candidates that meet the above requirements and are able to start immediately. *GENERAL FUNCTION:* Lead medium to large release management projects to support point of sale code releases to both test and production, working with cross functional teams using project management principles. Analyze delivery elements of a release, plan and manage task delivery from identified resources, work with PM to manage timeline from final code delivery to test through to implementation to production. Analyze and manage, as it relates to impact of POS systems, software version management for both a POS and corporate perspective (test and production). Set expectations and standards to associates across departments on details and understanding of impacts to version changes and delivery of version upgrades to ensure alignment prior to delivery to reduce risk for version upgrades. Maintain, manage, and set delivery standards for any code or version changes to both POS production and test. · Perform day-to-day project tasks needed to manage defined POS code releases to production and test. · Maintain and create deployment code standards for all code being deployed to a POS system. · Send out and maintain project documentation, related to release delivery, version control, environment setup and changes. · Consultant on other system development projects for Luxottica Retail on overall system design, usability, and testing as it relates to project and environment impact. · Lead effort to standardize and maintain version control methods and delivery for all software upgrades related to the POS *Specific Skills:* · 5+years Oracle DB development experience · Oracle 11g DB · Stored Procedure development · AQ *MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* 1. Lead efforts to identify ways to improve and simplify current environment and software business practices. 2. Lead efforts to use appropriate tools and processes to manage environments, upgrades, and releases across systems. 3. Proactively address, control, and report any issues related to project schedule related to all defined tasks and dependencies for code deployment related to releases. 4. Lead and design environment best practices and standards. Coach and train associates in CS department on these standards. 5. Document and manage environment issues and upgrades initiating follow up with developers and tech services for management and resolution. 6. Build relationships and obtain commitments from cross-functional departments, vendors, and project team to deliver results and ensure execution of work plan. 7. Work closely with the development team to ensure the system application design changes are delivered in conjunction with DME table structure in order to successfully manage environments both test and production environments, in line with releases. 8. Prepare and maintain QA environments throughout all active test cycles. 9.
