Role: Network Architect
Location: REMOTE POSITION
Long Term Contract

Network Architect:
7+ years of technical experience in a network architect profile. Candidate
must have played a key role in architecting and solutioning complex campus
and wireless LAN & WAN solutions, WAN optimization etc.
Demonstrated excellence at articulating & presenting complex technical
topics to both executive and technical personnel
Good understanding of Network Consulting (Network Architectures/Designs,
Services, Optimization of networks & services) – Network Consolidation and
Migration, High-availability, Interoperability, Performance, Capacity
Planning, Resiliency, Scalability etc.
Meeting/Discussing with customers and AT&T stakeholders and gathering
network & business requirements and objectives, due-diligence, Producing a
blueprint for a complex, large-scale, integrated network design, Clearly
communicating that architecture to stakeholders, Effectively advocating for
the necessary business investments to support the deployment
Ability to assess the current network environment and be able to provide
appropriate technical solutions to address business challenges related to
network optimization
Work with alliance OEM partners to create solution for customers
Architect, Design and Support Customer Networks in line with the customer’s
requirements
Architect/re-architect, Design/re-design, Expand/Migrate Customer LAN & WAN
Networks and prepare related Network Architecture/Design/Migration
Documents
Tier-4 support of hybrid networks and Disaster-Recovery networks
Planning, help in testing / onboarding customer networks and solutions
within AT&T Core Network and IPv6, SDN/NFV etc.
Participate in complex network transformation and outsourcing opportunities

The on boarded solution designers are expected to deliver the following key
task:
Excellent Communication and documentation skills
Enterprise architect responsible for design and Tier4 support of customer
network
Design and Tier4 support of hybrid data center networks and
Disaster-Recovery networks.
Candidate must have thorough knowledge in the following areas at the least:
Data Network Architecture (LAN, WAN, WAN Optimization)
Routing & Switching
Protocols, Technology, Features – BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, EIGRP, RIP, loop
avoidance, Multicast PIM – DM, SM, SSM, IGRP v1, v2, v3 etc., Protocol
Security, Protocol Optimization, STP, RSTP, MSTP, VTP etc.,
features/techniques like VPC, VDC, FEX, ISSU, VSS, QFabric Features, Fast
Convergence, QoS, HQoS
Software – IOS, IOS-XR, CatOS, JunOS
Device expertise – Cisco ASR 9K, GSR, ISR etc. or equivalent, Nexus 2K, 5K,
7K, QFabric, Cisco Catalyst 6500-series, other Cisco Catalyst platforms
etc. or equivalent
LANs – Wired & Wireless
WAN Protocols – HDLC, PPP, Frame Relay
VRRP/HSRP
Security
Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Network Security Best Practices, Protocol Security,
Control Plane, Data Plane, Management Plane Security Techniques, Threats
and Mitigation techniques in router and switches, DoS, DDoS Mitigation, MiM
attacks and mitigation etc.
Voice, Video, Data – QoS requirements
MPLS L2 & L3 VPNs& its variants
Non-MPLS VPNs - L2TP, IPSec, SSL, GRE, IP-in-IP VPNs etc.
Interaction with AT&T’s customers for collecting required details
(Requirement Analysis) and documenting the same in terms of Knowledge
Capture Document.
Creating Design Blueprints and Design Documents like
High Level Design (HLD),
Low Level Design (LLD),
Migration Procedures,
Fallback Procedures etc.
Testing the design as and when required
