SUMMARY
CS / GUI / OOP Programmer/Analyst Level 3
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including encoding,
testing, debugging and documenting programs. May require an associate's
degree in a related area. 3 - 5+ of experience in the field or in a related
area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and
procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May lead and direct the work of
others. May report directly to a project lead or manager. A wide degree of
creativity and latitude is expected.

Day to Day Responsibilities: • Produce analysis datasets based on provided
specifications using *SQL programming language*. • Conduct data quality
checks • Perform ad-hoc queries and provide customized reports based on the
longitudinal *patient database according to internal and external requests
using SQL server, Excel and Access. Requirements: • Strong data management
skills – will be handling large volumes of health plan administrative claims
data. Ability to migrate databases across servers and reorganize databases
for optimum performance and maintenance. • Demonstrated proficiency in
Transact-SQL language and have experience using MS SQL Server 2005 •* Strong
working knowledge of MS Excel and Access. • Ability to plan, organize and
work on multiple tasks simultaneously. • Strong written and oral
communication skills (Small group/environment – this is a key factor) • Self
motivated with ability to meet deadlines. *Pluses: SAS experience – v 9.1*
