We have an urgent requirement with our *Senior Technical Consultant
–PeopleSoft HCM 9.2*



Contract Position: *Senior Technical Consultant –PeopleSoft HCM 9.2*

Location: Seattle, WA

Duration: 4-6 months, extendible

Interview: Phone+Skype

End Client: State client of WA



*DUTIES*

·         Agency maintains and supports PeopleSoft HCM 9.2, running on
PeopleTools 8.53.24 and Oracle 12c database in a mostly Linux environment.
The underlying architecture adheres to a traditional design by having one
PS_HOME for each configured environment.

·         Provide expert knowledge, experience and history of successfully
designing, installing and configuring PeopleSoft middleware to utilize
Oracle’s decoupled recommendation of leveraging multiple PeopleSoft Home
directories (PS_CFG_HOME, PS_CUST_HOME, PS_APP_HOME, PS_HOME) and
performing subsequent PeopleTools upgrades.

·         Other validation and configuration activities include, setting up
Performance and Usage monitoring, ensuring robustness of Web and
Application servers to support dashboards, Company Directory and wider use
of Secure Enterprise Search (SES).

·         The scope of work will require delivery in the areas listed below:

*1.      *Transition the current PeopleSoft middleware architecture layout
to Oracle’s decoupled recommendation of utilizing multiple homes.

o   Configuration (PS_CFG_HOME)

o   Customizations (PS_CUST_HOME)

o   Application (PS_APP_HOME)

o   PeopleTools (PS_HOME)

·            Upgrade PeopleTools from version 8.53.24 to 8.55.nn

·            Audit Application and Web servers configuration to ensure
acceptable performance and capacity exists to handle implementation of
dashboards, wider use of Secure Enterprise Search and the rollout of
Company Directory.

·            Remediate identified discrepencies. Standardize across all
environments.

·            Set up performance monitor and ensure that no negative impact
to production environement occurs.

·            Set up usage monitor for the purpose of gathering data for use
with PeopleSoft Test Framework.

·            Lead, design and coach preproduction testing activities
directly related to middleware configuration and PeopleTools upgrade
changes.

·            Create and execute knowledge transfer—to include written
documentation of work performed and system design changes, in a way that is
retainable and supportable by County staff.
 Deliverables

·         Fully functioning and healthy Development, Test, Quality
Assurance and Production environments configured and using Oracle’s
decoupled recommendation of using multiple homes.

dashboards, Secure Enterprise Search functionality and Company Directory
rollout.

·         Correctly configured and functioning Performance Monitor.

·         Correctly configured and functioning Usage Monitor.

·         Successfully completed preproduction testing activities.

·         Documented testing procedure.

·         Delivered body of knowledge that is retainable and supportable by
staff.  Deliverable include:

·   Written documentation of work performed

·   New and updated configuration and design documents that reflect the
final state of the system.



*SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED*

·         At least five (5) years work experience in PeopleSoft

·         Experience with PeopleSoft Architecture Configuration Changes and
PeopleTools Upgrade

·         Experience in the SDLC process.

·         Good oral and written skills to facilitate requirements
gathering, training and knowledge transfers.

·         Experience in PeopleSoft infrastructure design and configuraion .

·         Experience leveraging PeopleSoft Change Assistant to apply
PeopleTools updates.

·         Experience in Upgrade PeopleTools from version 8.53.24 to 8.55.nn

·         Experience with Oracle 12c database

·         Experience with duties as listed above.
