*Job Title: Project Manager (Property & Casualty Insurance)* *Job Location: Morristown, NJ*
*Duration: 18-24 months + (Long term)* *MUST HAVE PROPERTY & CASUALTY INSURANCE EXPERIENCE WITH CORE POLICY ADMINISTRATION SYSTEM (PAS), Billing, Claims.* *Previous project management experience in the property and casualty insurance industry and, specifically, core policy administration, claims, billing and / or business intelligence highly desirable.* Ensures delivery and implementation of the solutions meets or exceeds all management and customer expectations based upon the agreed upon customer statements of work. Plans, directs and coordinates the activities of assigned project staff to ensure that the goals and objectives of the project are achieved within prescribed schedule, scope and budget constraints using an agile implementation methodology. Travel may be required up to 30% of the time. · Responsible for successful project implementations within budget, schedule, scope and quality metrics. · Manages one or multiple client implementations concurrently. · Supports sales projects through definition and costing of projects and solutions and contributes to development of sales proposals and responses to RFIs and RFPs. · Serves as the primary interface to the client during the project lifecycle, interacting with all levels of personnel within the client organization. Coordinates with project team members, other internal teams, client personnel and external teams as applicable to ensure that effective solutions can be delivered to the client within specified time and cost constraints. · Provides effective problem solving and customer service, actively soliciting feedback from the client on project progress, team performance and overall satisfaction. · Reviews client proposals or plans to develop project work breakdown structures, schedules, staffing requirements, budgets and statements of work. · Plans for, projects and assigns resources for implementation projects. Identifies and secures appropriate resources required for implementation success. · Assigns, directs and coordinates activities of project team members and client personnel to ensure progress according to project schedule and timely completion of project milestones and deliverables Manages implementation services partner staff, including service delivery and project performance as necessary. · Reviews all project deliverables for accuracy, consistency, completeness, presentation and conformance to standards. · Applies project management and company methodologies and best practices where appropriate and applicable to the specific client or situation. · Defines and deploys the appropriate change management and issues management processes during the entire project lifecycle. · Identifies, manages and monitors project dependencies and risks that may impact the overall success of the project including risk mitigation activities. · Communicates overall project strategy, direction, decisions and status to team members. Establishes and facilitates regular project team meetings. Gathers status from project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required. Prepares project status reports for management, clients and others. · Ensures business and technical requirements are gathered from clients to define project scope and requirements to be passed on to be configured or developed. *Prepares and communicates project invoice details on a monthly basis* · So invoices can be generated and sent to the client, facilitating revenue collection Ensures time spent on the project is accurately and timely entered and tracked by all internal resources on the implementation for accurate invoicing. · Other duties may be assigned. For the implementation duration, manages employees and any independent consultants assigned or recruited for the project. Is responsible for the overall direction and coordination of these personnel as related to their project-specific work assignments and provides input into their performance evaluation. Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, and three to five years project management experience using an agile implementation methodology; and three year experience as a business, systems or programmer analyst; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess mathematical skills; has the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs and charts. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Must adapt and deal with changing situations and make necessary decisions to achieve project goals as determined by internal and client management. · Must be proficient in communicating to different levels within the organization. · Must be proficient in organizational, team building and leadership skills and use these abilities in managing implementations of distributed and remote team members. · Must be proficient in effectively prioritizing tasks and work assignments for self and others. · Must be proficient in multi-tasking and time management. · Must possess reasoning ability; ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of business and technical instructions in written, oral or diagram form and deal with problems involving several abstract and concrete variables. · Must possess the ability to ensure that company’s and client’s interests are in balance. · Must be proficient at managing client expectations. · Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. · Must be self-motivated, self-directed, responsible, and reliable, with a positive attitude and a proactive style. · Must have the ability to operate effectively in a high-pace, unstructured and constantly changing work environment. · Must demonstrate leadership, critical thinking, negotiation, facilitation, and consulting, problem-solving, decision-making and analytical skills.
