This role will require working shifts.



Skills Required:



• At least 8-9 years of relevant/specific experience on *MSSQL database*
 platform.

• Strong knowledge on system design with DR, Replication, Clustering,
log-shipping, AlwaysON

*• MUST HAVE Hadoop, Bigdata experience*

• Installation, Maintenance , Administration, patching and Troubleshooting

• User and password Administration

• Performance tuning

• Database migration and upgrade

• Capacity planning

• Flexible to working in shifts

• Good interpersonal skills

*• Working knowledge of BI, data mining*





Project Role:



The Database Architect will be responsible for defining and maintain
availability and scalability of databases, reviewing database designs,
project status etc. The candidate is also required to exhibit technical
leadership by recommending database design improvements, reviewing queries
and suggest improvements and leading other members to implement the designs
created while over-seeing the operational support deliverables.



This role will require working shifts.



• Architect and review enterprise database solutions

• Plans and implements Database backup and recovery with tested
recoverability

• Implement robust change control and configuration management policies

• Capacity planning & system-level architecture in accordance with business
projected volumes and infrastructure capacity.

• OS/Storage/DB configuration and optimization

• Database security checks and audits

• General database health checks, monitoring, and Database refreshes

• Physical data model/architecture, DDL generation, and maintenance

• DB server migrations and decommissioning

• Database creation, configuration, and upgrading

• Patching (adhoc and scheduled releases )

• Lead troubleshooting and recovery as part of incident response.

• Database tuning (proactive and reactive)

• Maintaining specialized environments such as log shipping, replication,
cluster-based instances etc.

• SOP (Std. Operating Procedure) documentation, revision and ongoing updates

• Disaster recovery/failover services

• Work with application tea as apps Dba to optimizing DB performance (SQL
query reconfig etc.)

• Ensure the availability of the database

• Manage database users and security/access control

• Contribute significant, new and innovative ideas to the DBA knowledge base

• Maintain technical currency in database and technology trend through
research/education and personal development
