*Duration: through August 2016, *This assignment may be extended based on project needs and funding. *Interview: Phone or Skype* The Worker will perform highly-advanced oversight and direction in support of a large DB2 and Application Assessment project in order to ensure project success. The worker will also identify problems, propose innovative solutions, and provide advanced system expertise and training oversight. The worker will evaluate and recommend business needs, analyze processes and provide independent verification and validation throughout the project life cycle. The Worker will oversee and/or participate in day-to-day management of the design, development, testing and implementation of the DB2 and Application Assessment project. Worker must have a strong background in DB2, SQL, TSO and JCL in a z/OS environment. Must be able to quickly develop expertise in complex systems, be quality conscious and be dedicated to delivering quality products on time and on budget. * WORKER TASKS:* · Develop a detailed project plan. The plan must include actionable tasks and activities, dependencies, deliverables, milestones, due dates, and critical path items. · Perform a DB2 Performance Assessment to provide an oral presentation and produce a *DB2 Performance Assessment* document and action plan. This must include: o A comprehensive review of database configuration and performance for each subsystem. o Assessment and validation of DB2 management practices. o Assessment and validation of use of available system tools in the management of each subsystem. · Perform a DB2 and Application Data Assessment to provide an oral presentation and produce a Database and Application Assessment document and action plan. This must include: *Onsite Requirements:* Worker will be required to work on site with the team.
