*Position: Data Architect * *Location:Hartford,CT* *Duration:6+ Months* *Requisition Details:* - Overall 10 Experience in IT and 5 years of information data architecture experience including 2 years experience with insurance systems. - Applies architecture guidance and practices to translate business architecture, into contextual, conceptual, logical and physical information and data architectures. - Produces solution options that clarify the problem space. - Proposes a recommended solution, explains the rationale, enumerates significant components and addresses relevant constraints, risks, concerns, alternatives and the consequences of proposed choices. - Develops architecture artifacts according to HSB standards. - Communicates key details to stakeholders. *Qualifications Required* - Bachelors degree in information management, computer science, business, or related field or equivalent work experience. - - 3 years of informationdata architecture experience. - - Strong working knowledge of architecture best practices, methodologies and models. - - Proficiency in proven informationdata architectures technologies such as data warehouse, data virtualization, big dataHADOOP and cloud computing. Strong proficiency in open and de facto data architecturemanagement standards. Strong understanding of data architecture solution alternatives and vendor strategies - - Good interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to meet and coordinate multiple tasks and tight deadlines. Ability to function as a team member. *Qualifications Desired * - 5 years informationdata architecture experience including 2 years of insurance industry experience and proven track record of delivering enterprise information platforms. Large-scale transformation project experience. - Certification or extensive experience in one or more architecture methodologies e.g., TOGAF, Zachmann, Gartner. - Proficiency in data modeling such as ORM, ERwin. Strong working knowledge of ACORD. Proficiency in UML and similar modeling techniques. Working knowledge of enterprise architecture tools e.g, LeanIX, Troux or similar. Significant experience with Guidewire, SAP and Microsoft architectures and development platforms. - - Skills in leadership, managing through influence, relationship management, and presentations.
