*No Skype interviews – Candidates need to come for an in person interview after a phone screen* Skills Ability to work off-hours and weekends when necessary 3 – 5 years of hands-on DB2 UDB experience in an AIX environment Realistic, practical, real world database administration skills/experience Experience reviewing SQL to address performance problems Strong Unix skills Command line processing Reading, writing, executing, troubleshooting user scripts Microsoft Office experience in, at a minimum, Outlook, WORD, Excel Comfortable receiving instructions from lead DBA and then working independantly The internal drive, intellectual curiosity, ability to learn, and desire to help the customers succeed Strong technical skills Comfortable working under Project Manager supervision Ability to work proactively Experience, from a database perspective, dealing with Websphere Application Sever, HTTP Server, MQSeries and Cognos Understanding of database backup processes and recovery processes Experience with Q-Replication Experience in Performance monitoring/testing COGNOS applications Experience with DPF (Data Partitioning Facility).
