Oracle DBA 6+ months contract *# of Openings*: 1 *Location*: MINNETONKA, MN, United States Database Consultant What Project/Projects will the candidate be working on while on assignment? SALUTE project Is this person a sole contributor or part of a team? If so, please describe the team? (Name of team, size of team, etc.) Person will be part of a project team supporting the SALUTE project. What are the top 5-10 responsibilities for this position? (Please be detailed as to what the candidate is expected to do or complete on a daily basis) Build and configure Oracle databases Build and configure Oracle DataGuard standby databases Build and configure MySQL databases Migrate data between databases Assist with performance tuning Communicate status with project management What software tools/skills are needed to perform these daily responsibilities? Oracle Database MySQL Database Oracle DataPump Oracle DataGuard Unix shell TSM or Data Domain What skills/attributes are a must have? - Candidate must be NAC'd - At least 4 years’ experience working with Oracle databases. - At least 1 year working with MySQL databases - Experience with Oracle DBMS and DB monitoring and tuning. - Experience with RAC - Proven SQL tuning experience. - Knowledge of the UNIX Server platform. - Four-year degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent experience. - Effective verbal and documentation skills in both business and technical areas. - Strong organizational skills - Ability to handle changing priorities and tight schedules What skills/attributes are nice to have? - Experience with a systems development or project methodology. - Experience working with remote teams.
