*Title: Network Engineer * *Location: Greenwood Village, CO* *Duration: 6 months* *Interview: phone then Face to Face* *Qualifications:* - Bachelor of Science or Applied Science in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or 8 years military and/or industrial Engineering experience. - 5 to 7 yrs work experience in ISP/MSO environment. - At least Five years of detailed hands-on troubleshooting of complex large scale TCP/IP networks with a minimum of two years in an ISP/MSO like environment. *Responsibilities: * - Extremely well developed communication skills and a customer-centric attitude. - Partners with Market, Engineering and Support teams to understand issues and drive resolutions. - Complete understanding of complex data, transport voice, and converged networks design to ensure superior support customer, and completion of business objectives: - Interfacing with external technology vendors on detailed aspects of new designs as required - Collaborating with customer to validate design concepts and ensure integration into customer operations and infrastructure - Functions as education/technical resource as needed for Market, Engineering and Support Teams ensuring the best possible technical practices. - In-depth knowledge of Juniper, Cisco platforms, Ciena / Arista / ALU + - In-depth knowledge of carrier class data/voice network services (LAN/WAN, routing protocols, ISIS, BGP, MPLS, VPLS, EVPL, POS, etc.) - In-depth knowledge of IP implementations, including QoS, Layer 2/3 environments - In-depth knowledge of Metro Ethernet, SONET, DS1/DS3, TCP/IP, SIP, VPN, and MPLS technologies very desirable - In-depth knowledge of Optical CWDM / DWDM operational support - Detailed knowledge of Unix, Linux - Knowledge of scripting with Shell, PERL, TCL, Python (not required, but very desirable) - Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance. - Ability to work in a 24 x 7 environment, all shifts.
