Angular JS is helpful but not required * *Job Description:* Oldcastle Architectural Inc. is seeking a Senior Level Java Developer and Application Architect to deliver a critical project for them. Oldcastle is working on an exciting cloud based application in which you will be a critical participant in the success of a cutting edge development project. You will be responsible for leading development of a cloud based API that will be a high transactional API. There will also be some web based components in AngularJS. The current team has several developers. They need someone who is advanced in Spring API layer development for high transaction applications and deploying to the cloud an API layer for a mobile application. This is a very specialized skillset and they need someone who understands how the architecture works so there aren't issues when the client applications starts calling on the API. This architect will be responsible for the architecture, they are going to have their API deployed to a cloud platform like AWS, Azure, or Heroku. Experience deploying and maintaining API layers in a major cloud platform is desirable. This Architect must be extremely comfortable in Spring. They will help with the API and look at the requirements of the API and guide the team through the design and determine where it is best to include something in the API or where they need to build a Microservices on the side. This architect must understand Microservices and is a Spring expert. The API will have a number of asynchronous functions and will interact with both cloud and client based applications. Microservices will be required to extend the scalability of the application. There is no time for there to be mistakes. This needs to be a home run from the start and therefore experience in similar architectures is required. This resource is going to be designing (75%) and then coding (25%). They will do some high level coding to put the foundation into place and the other coders will come in and get the development stories and execute them. The resource is also going to be working on a team of developers very excited and dedicated.
