Interview : Phone and In person required by the client DBA Application side (Sr. Level 10+ year’s exp) This individual will work with the application developers and be responsible for performance tuning and monitoring the DB application. They will act as an advisor to the database developers with regards to data modeling and queries writing. A strong knowledge of SQL is required. While they may not have to write stored procedures using PL/SQL, they will have to be able to read and understand stored procedures. They should have a solid knowledge of tuning queries and that knowledge should include aspects of the following: 1. Materialized Views 2. Automatic Workload Repository (AWR) and Automatic Database Diagnostic Monitor (ADDM). 3. Partitioning strategies 4. Query Hints 5.
