*Role : Sr. Data Analyst(Reporting Exp.)* *Duration : 6+months(possible extension)* *Location : Riverwoods, IL* *Interview : Phone and Face to Face* *US CITIZEN OR GC HOLDER* This position serves as key resource for application support.(1) Sets up system monitor reports and identifies potential problems. Develops solutions to address performance issues as well as application errors. (2) Decides how to solve problems, considers consequences & alternative courses of action; takes appropriate action to resolve identified problems. (3) Reproduce problems, maintain knowledge of features in new releases, patches and hot fixes. (4) Independently design, spec, schedule and provide quality implementation of a component or feature (typically medium scope and somewhat complex projects). (5) Responds during off hours to problem alerts. Corrects production issues within primary field of expertise. Understands escalation procedures to determine who and when to notify about problems that require more expertise or approval. (6) Creates team plans and schedules that span multiple projects and release cycles. *Experience / Training / Education:* Degree or equivalent professional experience in a related field. Typically minimum of 3-5+ years professional experience. Management or technical leadership becomes critical component. *Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:* Strong skill in writing *SQL statements* Effective oral and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to work under pressure of multiple projects and deadlines Ability to effectively prioritize workload and manage changes in direction Ability to interpret and apply required policies and procedures Ability to work in a team environment Leadership Responsibilities: May lead functional teams or projects. Task Complexity: Works on highly complex in area of specialty. Highly skilled with extensive proficiency in area of specialty. Assignments are quite varied and highly complex with few standard procedures. Decision Making: Latitude for independent judgment and decision making within defined guidelines. Gathers information, consults those who need to be involved, and puts decisions into action. Considers the implications of options when making a difficult decision. Develops Amount of Supervision: Works independently with guidance in only the most complex situations. Participates in determining objectives of assignment. Plans, schedules, and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting requirements. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
