Position: Oracle Applications Developer

Description:



Starkey’s Oracle Applications Developer position will be responsible for
performing a wide variety of enterprise business application design and
development activities. The position requires a dynamic person who is
capable of working in a fast paced environment. This role will have business
application strategy responsibilities as well as development and support
responsibilities for multiple concurrent projects. This will include
requirements gathering, process definition, assisting with testing,
documentation and ensuring the successful migration of code to Production. A
high-level of technical programming skill is required in order to devise or
modify new and existing programs and interfaces. The primary focus of this
position will be on the Oracle Manufacturing and Financial and Supply Chain
systems, its interfaces with other systems and Oracle development tools
including: Oracle Forms 6i, Oracle Reports 6i and Oracle Discoverer.



Additionally, this role will be responsible for design, development and
maintenance of SQL based applications using PL/SQL and SQL. A strong
emphasis will be on accessing data from relational (Oracle) databases to
ensure a quality end-user experience. This includes developing applications,
which may interface with other systems.



Knowledge and understanding of applications life cycle and technology
alternatives is required. Communication is key in order to effectively work
with both business and IT staff. Must be able to work well within a team
environment as well as independently.



The ideal candidate will be able to achieve the following.

   - Perform high level and detailed design activities
   - Handle interfacing of Oracle and non-Oracle applications using a
   service oriented architecture
   - Build / maintain Oracle based applications
   - Modify existing Oracle Applications and custom build add on modules
   - Design and implement data conversions from Oracle and non-Oracle
   sources
   - Act as primary for problem resolution analysis and enhancements of the
   installed applications
   - Support the application upgrades
   - Participate in unit and system testing
   - Assist in the development of departmental documentation and development
   standards and methodologies

 *Minimum education, certification and experience requirements*

Education:

   - 2 or 4 year degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
   required.

Experience:

   - 10 years of IT experience with minimum 5 years experience designing &
   developing in an Oracle EBS environment - preferably with 11.5.x.

Knowledge

   - Oracle database triggers, packages, and procedures using PL/SQL
   - Oracle Reports and or BI Publisher, Oracle Forms • General knowledge of
   Oracle RDBMS and UNIX scripting
   - Experience with TOAD, Oracle SQL Developer or SQL Navigator or similar
   tool experience required
   - OA Framework experience required
   - Oracle Workflow experience required
   - Application Express experience preferred
   - Advanced Queuing experience preferred
   - PVCS or other version management experience preferred
   - Broad experience with SQL Server and Java desired
