ASAP *Title: Embedded Systems Engineer ( With medical Device)* *Location: * San Francisco, CA *Duration: *6+ Months *Job Description:* · Responsible for electronic system for highly miniaturized medical devices, including designing, fast prototyping and testing. Work closely with a cross-functional engineering team to prototype, develop, test, and launch new hardware products to help move healthcare from reactive to proactive. · Work with cross-functional teams to define electronic system based on system-level requirements and tradeoffs. · Identify, select and qualify microcontroller and other electrical components for electronic system in miniaturized medical devices. · Prototype electronic system designs quickly with in-house teams and support from vendors, including integration hardware and firmware. · Participate in all aspects of the embedded system design process. · Provide characterization and test of designed electronic system. *Minimum qualifications* · MS degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical degree or equivalent practical experience. · 4 years relevant work experience · Experience with architecture and design of embedded systems. *Preferred qualifications* · PhD in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related technical degree and 2 years work experience in medical device or other regulated industry. · In-depth understanding of different microprocessor architectures, Coding tools/environments, compilers/debugger tools. · Familiar with risk assessment, requirements definition, microcontroller / IO selection, software development and test, verification, and validation. Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-pace research and development environment.
