Job Title: Big Data Location: SUNNYVALE CA 94085 Duration: 7+ Months Job Description: This role is for a Big Data Lead/Architect who has 5-7 years of experience in building/architecting analytical applications. Should have strong Big Data Skills (Details provided below) Experience in Data Warehousing (Oracle and Teradata), Good Understanding ETL tools and techniques for handling Large Data Volumes Experience on BI Data Modeling of large EDW is preferred. Experience in developing scalable custom solutions using Hadoop technology. Expertise in Hive, MapReduce, HDFS, Oozie, and writing UDFs Hive experience should include using different Hive joins, optimization, joins with tables containing 1B rows Writing Scripts (Bash or Python) Nice to have experience in Yarn, Spark Trouble shoot performance problems and perform optimizations Ability to architect an end-end solution Able to communicate clearly with other teams and stakeholders as well as business.
