Part of CGEN 4 Project - Sales Unit of Measure. Provide capability for selling materials at different units of measure. Currently separate material # is needed for selling these materials (GTIN), as part of MITG integration. This project touches the Delivery Team and Sales Order Management team. This project is highly-matrixed and it's the largest IT Project in Medtronic. This resource doesn't have 1 dedicated team, but will work with the teams for 4 major projects. The project is to work with the business teams and the technical teams to drive the design to have single UOM and Material #. SR, highly experienced PM with large, complex project experience and excellent communication skills. Ability to manage teams, strong influencing skills, and strong business process understanding. Project Plan, deliverables, issue/risk resolution, action items, provide weekly status updates via Scorecards at a Program level. Leveraging these capabilities will also provide tangible business benefit for legacy Medtronic (LMDT) activities – a separate, subsequent project. The use of the Material Number in SAP to drive distribution control is required for Covidien to successfully integrate into SAP. The current practice in Medtronic of using the GTIN (Global Trade Item Number) to distinguish product variations of product that are not interchangeable within the supply chain has resulted in a need to create a new solution for “Versioning” that would align with MITG business and manufacturing processes and systems. This project has been identified as an initiative that must be addressed as part of the integration of the MITG into Medtronic Corporate processes and systems, most notably the GTS Distribution Controls, and CGEN – the integration of Covidien into SAP.
