In addition to code writing ability, we are looking for someone who also has knowledge of 3rd party applications that may be configured to work with our current Sharepoint system. We envision that the work may be a combination of building/writing reporting code, in addition to using existing applications and tools to deliver this assignment. The analyst will need to work closely with MassDOT Engineers and internal and external developers to create the enhancements outlined in the four specific tasks below. 1.One of the most common roles of SharePoint users is that of the Reviewer. MassDOT and other Reviewers have the responsibility of reviewing, commenting, rejecting, accepting or approving technical and contractual documents. Timely reviews keep the project objectives moving and prevent unnecessary contract delays. Some reviewers are responsible for reviews from multiple sites. In the current implementation, a single MassDOT reviewer has to directly access each of the sites to track their assignments and work queue. This assignment includes the creation of a single dashboard the Reviewer can access that would provide a comprehensive view of the Reviewer's assignments including providing status and providing links to review document and associated comments. These reports that feed the dashboard should track assignments and provide others knowledge of individual's workloads and progress. 2.The users of SharePoint need the ability to review submittals within a specific timeframe. It is also critical that the project team can track the status of submittal reviews. MassDOT has limited ability at this point to track submittal status at an enterprise level (across projects). This assignment includes the development of a dashboard that would provide a comprehensive look at MassDOT performance in the submittal process across projects. This dashboard would present data such as statistics (max, min, average, etc.) review turnaround times, status of reviews, trending in the number of rejections or revise and resubmit documents that all affect the projects ability to deliver on time. 3.The third assignment will center around the development of a Reporting Center which would be used to access and manage reports. MassDOT will need the ability to control security to the reporting center and will need to link the reporting center to dashboards. This site would be used as the enterprise administrative center as the number of projects and users grows. 4.This Assignment is the development of project specific reports from data and metadata in InfoPath forms. In addition to canned reports MassDOT will need the ability to create simple to use queries that can mine project specific data to generate custom reports.
