*Role: Ab Initio * *Location: CHICAGO IL* *Duration: 12 Months* *Primary Responsibilities:* • Provide high quality technology solutions that address business needs by developing applications within mature technology environments. • Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts and team members to analyze business requirements and outline the proposed IT solution. • Participate in design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations; incorporate security requirements into design; and provide input to information/data flow, and understand and comply with Project Life Cycle Methodology in all planning steps. • Read and understand business requirements, write functional requirements, develop detailed technical designs, and build / unit / system test application code. • Participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications; identify/troubleshoot application code-related issues; and review and provide feedback to the final user documentation. • Support the changes/applications post implementation by debugging, fixing, and participating in maintenance releases as prescribed by management *Requirements:* • 3+ years hands on experience in Ab-Initio • 5+ years experience with full development lifecycle from inception through implementation. • 5+ years experience with Unix korn-shell • Strong working knowledge of at least one database • Experience with development, deployment, and support of large-scale distributed applications • Experience of EME and promotion. • Experience with MetaHub (or experience with other Metadata systems) • Experience with Business Rules Environment (BRE) • Working knowledge of DB2 • Excellent communication skills, organizational skills, and work ethic • Exceptional technical skills. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
