*Position : System Engineer* *Location : RICHFIELD, MN* *Duration : 5 months +* *Hourly rate: DOE* ** *Required Skills : Automation, EMC, Engineering,ITIL, Linux, Networking, SAN, Systems Engineering, UNIX* *The Linux & UNIX Systems Engineer is responsible for providing Systems Engineering support as part of the Enterprise Platform Services (EPS) group. Provide server engineering design leadership and technology innovation for all supported server platforms. Maintenance of server systems and operational readiness validation of all applicable infrastructure components. Support issues, including owning and driving resolution of all operational incident escalations. Set standards around server operating systems and hardware solutions. Have full ownership and complete accountability for specific areas of service delivery. Assist in documenting and reviewing team processes and procedures, and integrate into larger firm processes. Understand ITIL prstems and hardware solutions. Have full ownership and complete accountability for specific areas of service delivery. Minimum of 3 years of experience in the following: * Overall RedHat Linux (RHEL 3/4/5) system design and administration Preferred skills include: * RedHat Linux GFS Clustering * RedHat Certified Technician (RHCT) * Storage environments (SAN, NAS), including building out SAN attached infrastructure solutions * Hardware experience with HP server HW (ProLiant/ Integrity/ Superdome) * High Availability/failover, DR, and load balanced environments * Shell-script programming and automation via scripting * 4 year degree in IT or 5 years of experience in equivalent field * Experience working with EMC Symmetrix preferred via scripting Scope Language: Resource(s) shall provide to knowledge transfer of the scope of the services provided by Subcontractor.
