Seeking an EMC SAN (V-Max & Clariion) and Legato Backup Administrator
Loc: NY
Duration: 3+ months
Required Skills
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to coordinate and prioritize own schedule based on workload and
team objectives.
* EMC Symmetrix and Clariion Storage Administration.
* EMC Timefinder and SRDF expertise.
* EMC Legato/Networker Backup Administration.
* SAN, NAS, CAS, Clustering, Volume Management, and Server Virtualization
experience a plus.
* Proficient with Brocade switch management and FabricOS CLI/Zoning.
* Must be well versed in configuring Emulex/Qlogic/Fibre HBA*s.
* Experienced in Fibre Cabling and Patch Panel management.
Required Experience SAN:
* 3-5 yrs with EMC platforms including EMC Symmetrix V-Max and Clariion
arrays.
* 3-5 years SAN connectivity devices (Fiber Channel Technology, Cisco,
McData and/or Brocade Switches).
* Storage Provisioning and Masking. (Tuning & load balancing)
* Must be well versed in configuring Emulex/Qlogic Fibre HBA*s.
* Problem resolution of new hardware configurations.
* Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization.
* Excellent interpersonal skills; strong and effective communicator.
* Good writing skills and ability to multi-task in the support of this
project.
Required Experience Backup Administration
* 3-5 yrs with EMC Legato-Networker.
* Extensive backup troubleshooting experience
* Previous experience with Virtual Tape Libraries, Data Domain helpful.
* Previous experience with EMC Avamar helpful.
* Previous experience with EMC Avamar helpful.
* Previous experience with VMware VCB backup helpful.
